Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. She grew up as part of an multiethnic family. Her father Elroy is a Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother Kim, a Malaysian. Jacqueline is the youngest of two siblings and has one older brother. In the 1980s, her parents fled to Bahrain because of civil war in Sri Lanka. In the end, she was born and raised in the country. After finishing the schooling in Bahrain she was awarded a Scholarship to the University of Sydney to pursue an Media and Communications Degree in Sydney, Australia. As a lover of all different cultures and languages, she was a part of the Berlitz school of languages where she learned to speak Spanish and improve her French as well as Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 won Miss Universe 2006 competition in March 2006. She also participated as Miss Universe 2006 also. The TV show she appeared on was founded after winning her the Miss Sri Lanka title. The show she hosts, Lanka Business Report, covers Sri Lankan business. Padukone (the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone) was born and raised in Bangalore. When she was a teenager she played in national level badminton events, but she backed off playing and went on to become a designer. Padukone hails from Mangalore and her mother language is Konkani. Padukone is a village located situated in Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi located in Karnataka State in India, is where her lineage comes from. Her father, Prakash Padukone, is an old badminton player who is of world-class fame, while her mother is a travel agent.
